Every year sometime around now, we celebrate the emergence of Pacquito onto this planet. The above and the below are two of many drawings/paintings/portraits I've made of him. He is my unlikely muse, I guess you could say, and the object of all our affection. He is our little dumpster doggie, our Squirtleyburts, our Sweet Pateets! I become more obsessed with him as the years go on. Usually it's the other way around, I think, that we get too used to people and things as time passes, but the inherently short-ish lifespan of dogs lingers, reminding me in a different way than anything else, that our time together is limited.
